Liskov Marketplace Terms

Business users only — free listings only

These Marketplace Terms form part of the Liskov Contract. They apply when a Customer browses, launches, deploys or uses an item through the Liskov Marketplace. Capitalised words have the meanings in the Master Business Terms.

1. Launch scope​

1.1 Curated free catalogue​

The Marketplace is a curated catalogue of Applications, templates, integrations, packages, documentation and related materials (Items). At the date of these Terms every Item is published by PROOF. Under these Terms:

  • Items are available without a purchase price through Liskov;
  • PROOF does not collect money or cryptoassets for a Publisher;
  • PROOF does not pay revenue, commission, royalties or tips to a Publisher;
  • no transfer of Service Credits occurs between users;
  • PROOF is not agent for a Publisher or User in a sale; and
  • paid listings require separate terms and written activation by PROOF.

1.2 Features that are not available​

Independent (third-party) publishing, publisher profiles, reviews, ratings, comments, messaging, activity feeds and search over user-submitted content are not available through the Marketplace. Reviews/ratings must not be enabled until PROOF has completed its Online Safety Act scope/risk work, moderation workflow, reporter protection, retention and transparency design. If PROOF later offers any of these features, it will update these Terms before doing so.

1.3 External services​

An Item may interoperate with a separately priced external service, provided the listing clearly identifies the provider, material charges and independent terms before launch, and does not mislead users into believing the external service is included.

1.4 Definitions​

Publisher means the person that publishes an Item through the Marketplace. At the date of these Terms, PROOF is the only Publisher.

User means a Customer that browses, launches, deploys or uses an Item.

Listing Content means the title, description, images, publisher information, metadata, documentation, links, evidence labels and other content relating to an Item.

Item Licence means the open-source, source-available or other licence identified in the listing or accompanying the Item.

2. Relationship between PROOF, Publisher and User​

2.1 Items published by PROOF​

An Item published by PROOF is supplied under its stated Item Licence. Publishing an Item does not extend PROOF’s warranties beyond section 10, and PROOF’s responsibility for an Item is limited to what the Master Business Terms and the Item Licence provide.

2.2 Item contract and licence​

The Item Licence governs the User’s right to copy, modify, deploy and use an Item. These Marketplace Terms do not grant rights that the Publisher does not own and do not override a mandatory open-source licence. Where no valid licence is stated, the User receives only a revocable, non-exclusive right to inspect and test the Item within Liskov for evaluation.

2.3 PROOF Services​

Use of Liskov to launch or deploy an Item remains subject to the Master Business Terms, Fees and AUP. A free Item may consume paid Network capacity or other Liskov Services. Those charges are payable to PROOF for the Services and are not a purchase price for the Item.

2.4 No professional advice​

An Item, listing, evidence label or publisher response is not legal, security, tax, investment or other professional advice from PROOF.

2.5 Independent publishers, if later admitted​

Where PROOF later admits an independent Publisher under separate Publisher Terms, that Publisher is independent from PROOF, is not PROOF’s employee, partner or agent, and cannot bind PROOF. Publication does not mean that PROOF owns, sponsors, guarantees, audits or endorses the Item or the Publisher.

3. Source assurance and evidence labels​

Every listing identifies the Item’s public source repository and immutable version (a tag or commit), the Item Licence, a software bill of materials, and the Item’s declared build inputs, generated code, permissions, data handling, network destinations and runtime-fetched code.

The Marketplace shows evidence labels that state atomic facts about an Item — for example that the publisher identity was verified, that the public source is available, that the build provenance was verified, that automated checks passed, or that a manual review was completed — and whether each fact is verified, failed, stale or missing. A label states only the check it describes. It is not a warranty that an Item is secure, accurate, maintained, lawful or fit for purpose. An Item whose source ceases to be publicly readable, or whose evidence becomes stale, is delisted.

4. Ranking and discoverability​

At launch PROOF curates the catalogue and orders listings editorially. There is no paid placement, and PROOF does not sell ranking. The console search filters listings by their text. If PROOF introduces ranking factors, recommendations or any commercial influence on placement, it will describe them in these Terms before use.

5. User obligations​

Before using an Item, User must:

(a) review the listing, Item Licence, source, permissions, dependencies and external terms;

(b) test in an isolated non-production environment where appropriate;

(c) evaluate the Item against its own threat model and compliance requirements;

(d) configure least privilege and avoid embedding credentials;

(e) satisfy itself that any Personal Data the Item will process in a Distributed Workload is lawfully processed there, in accordance with clause 7 of the Master Business Terms;

(f) maintain backups and rollback capability;

(g) monitor updates, vulnerabilities and end-of-life notices; and

(h) validate outputs before material reliance.

User must not remove licence notices, exceed licence rights, misrepresent authorship, or use an Item contrary to the AUP.

6. Updates, maintenance and removal​

6.1 Maintenance​

Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, an Item is maintained on a best-effort basis. The Publisher may stop maintaining an Item and will update the listing when it does.

6.2 Updates​

An Item is launched into User’s own Workspace as a draft that User controls. An Item does not update automatically in User’s Workspace; User chooses whether to adopt a new version. Material permission or data-use changes are disclosed in the listing for the new version.

6.3 Removal and existing copies​

Delisting stops new Marketplace availability but does not remove copies already launched, forks, source repositories, caches, Network deployments or open-source rights already granted. PROOF may disable integration points it controls where necessary for safety or law.

7. Security vulnerabilities​

7.1 Reporting​

Report a security vulnerability in an Item to security@proof.computer, marking the report URGENT SECURITY where a package is actively malicious or exploited. Provide safe reproduction information and avoid unnecessary access or public disclosure that creates harm.

7.2 Response​

PROOF will acknowledge and assess a credible material report about an Item it publishes promptly, and will remediate, label, disable or delist the Item as its severity warrants. Where an Item is published by an independent Publisher, PROOF may set a remediation deadline, label the Item, disable deployment or delist it.

7.3 Emergency action​

PROOF may immediately restrict or remove an Item, block a version, notify affected Users or preserve evidence where it reasonably believes there is active exploitation or serious risk.

8. Reports​

Reports that an Item or Listing Content is illegal, infringes rights, breaches policy or is unsafe are handled under the Marketplace Notice-and-Action Policy. Send reports to abuse@proof.computer. A report alone does not establish infringement; PROOF may request evidence, restrict an Item temporarily, restore content after review, or keep it restricted where risk remains.

9. Data protection​

9.1 Marketplace account data​

PROOF processes User account, launch, report, security and usage data as Controller under the Privacy Notice. Public Listing Content is visible to Marketplace users and may be indexed or cached.

9.2 Personal Data in Items​

User is responsible for any Personal Data that an Item processes in User’s Workspace or in a Distributed Workload, as set out in clause 7 of the Master Business Terms. Listing Content declares the data an Item handles and the network destinations it contacts.

10. Warranties and liability​

10.1 Disclaimer​

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PROOF does not warrant that an Item is secure, accurate, complete, maintained, lawful, non-infringing, compatible or fit for User’s purpose. Review, testing, evidence labels and curation reduce risk but are not guarantees.

10.2 Contract caps​

Liability relating to the Marketplace is governed by the Master Business Terms. An Item Licence may allocate liability between a Publisher and a User, but it does not increase PROOF’s liability or reduce rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes and future features​

PROOF may update these Terms under the Master Business Terms. PROOF will not introduce publisher payments, user purchase prices or transferable Marketplace value under these Terms. A paid Marketplace requires separate terms, a payments architecture and affirmative acceptance. Independent publishing, if offered, will be governed by separate Publisher Terms.
